Triolet shival is the largest village in the Pamplemousses district. This village is located to the north of the Mauritius. the specialties of the place are its temples, Which are located in the place. The temples found here have different features than any other temples worldwide. They are differentiated by its brighter colorful looks. There are many Hindu temples which are differentiated by its red and white color.
The most famous Hindu temple of the place is Maheshwernath temple. This temple was formed in 1819. This temple has almost all Hindu sacred ideals found here like, lord Krishna, lord Rama, etc. the most important festival of the village is Mahashivratri. This festival is celebrated in a grand style by all the villagers.
The place also has many beaches which are tourist attractions. There is a famous morning Sunday market. The place has got religious importance. People from different place come to visit the temples. This place was the first pilgrimage. The place had a sacred lake. This lake was found by sages years back. After they found the lake they named it Ganga Tatao. Later the place became well known; later the lake became famous for its shivratri festival celebration. This festival is celebrated in the month of February.
